Shiba Surti, CCH, BHMS
I am a professionally trained homeopath and have been practicing since 2000. I graduated from the Ahmedabad Homeopathic Medical College, India in 1999. Although uncommon in the U.S., Homeopaths in India undergo rigorous medical training (
in different disciplines such as Internal medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Preventive medicine, etc) similar to conventional doctors in coursework and ethics. During my internship I observed patients recover from such conditions as menstrual disorders, menopause, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, allergies, nightmares, migraines, and various skin disorders. Also, I happened to have some health issues which were acute in nature and my teachers helped me with homeopathic remedies, and this completely changed the way I looked at homeopathy and the health care system. It put everything in a new perspective. I started to move closer and closer to the field of natural medicine. Soon enough I began to help both my family and friends through homeopathy. I ended up volunteering at Ananda Marga Homeopathic Clinic in Portland, OR. Later I worked at Next Health Urgent Care in Virginia. I am grateful that I had the chance to receive a homeopathic education before I had my two healthy children. I was able to heal my children holistically whenever they fell sick. Whenever we went to the doctor’s office, the pediatrician would always comment on how my children never seemed to get as sick as other children.

Then came a big hurdle in my life when I developed a sickness which required surgery and a few rounds of antibiotics and steroids. Despite the treatment the disease kept coming back and my only option was to have another surgery with no explanation as to why this was happening. Conventional medicine was failing me. I have two children and I needed to be there to take care of them. Given my background and experience in Homeopathy I made a decision to get Homeopathic treatment and that has now brought me back from the deep dark places of sickness to a more vibrant, energetic healthy state.

This life experience reaffirmed my belief in the holistic homeopathic approach even for cases that are referred to surgery under conventional treatments. I started taking more classes to understand other complementary holistic approaches to serve my clients better. My confidence in my practice comes from experience as a patient, parent and practitioner.

My passion is to help families reach their highest potential in healthy living. So in recent years I’ve explored other natural fields in medicine such as CEASE Therapy, BACH flower remedies, Biochemic Cell Salts, Gemmotherapy, Organ therapeutics, and Homeoprophylaxis. I also help families with coaching and counseling during their transformation to improved health.

Being a Homeopathic consultant, I see my clients as individuals with unique personalities and like to listen to them in detail to get the whole picture so that I can find the “Similimum” to help them restore their balance and live a healthy and comfortable life.

In addition to my practice, I serve the homeopathic community as Secretary of the California Homeopathic Medical Society and Free and Healthy Children Inc.

Here is a testimonial from one of my recent clients:
“Shiba Surti has been my homeopath for a short period, since November 2015 and made a lasting impact on my well being. I am really thankful for her help.  She has helped me with PMS, with symptoms of cramps, headache, anxiety, depression and mood swings that would last for days, even weeks. I was on an emotional roller coaster before I met her that was affecting my family's life as well . As a homeopath and as a person, I find her to be remarkably compassionate, grounded, humble, and disciplined.  She devotes a great deal of effort into studying her cases, weighing the options with both keen intelligence and intuition. Shiba is also conservative in her approach, being careful to use the right and necessary remedies, correct doses and adjusting the remedies as needed.  At the same time, she is always trying to explore new ideas and techniques, in order to better serve her clients and to expand her own body of healing knowledge. I can assure you that you are in expert hands with Shiba Surti."
